Jericho Hareketinden bizler Ali Yıldız'ın ailesine, oğullarının cenazesini alma mücadelesine olan dayanışmamızı iletiyoruz. Bir ailenin oğullarının cenazesini gömme hakkını kazanmak için açlık grevi yapmak zorunda olması, tam bir vicdansızlıktır. Ancak bu eylem, Türkiye devletinin direnişi yok etmek için neler yapabileceği gerçeğinin bir parçasıdır.

Bütün dünyada, tekrar tekrar, devletlerin bu tür eylemlerini görmekteyiz, ki şu an ABD'deki Kaliforniya eyaletindeki Pelican Bay Hapishanesindeki tutsaklar açlık grevindeler (1 Temmuz 2011 tarihinden beri). İnsani yaşam koşulları için ABD'nin birçok hapishanesinden destek alıyorlar. (http://prisonerhungerstrikesolidarity.wordpress.com/ )

Kalifornya'daki hapishane görevlileri bu eyleme gölge düşürmek için "çetecilik" ve "kriminal unsurlar" terimlerini kullanıyor.

Biz, zaman ayırıp, bu açlık grevindeki dost ve yoldaşlarımızın taleplerini incelemenizi ve içeriye iletebileceğimiz bir dayanışma mesajı yollamanızı rica ediyoruz. (www.albq-jericho.org)

Greetings Comrades and Friends

We of the Jericho Movement send our solidarity to the Ali Yildia family

in their struggle to gain the return of their son's body. To force a family to go on a hunger strike, in order to have the right to bury their son, is with out conscious; but in fact this action on the part of the Turkish State shows the extent the state will go to in order to crush resistance.

We see these State Actions, again and a again through out the world as right now in the USA, the prisoners of Pelican Bay Prison (Special Handling Units),California are on a hunger strike, (7/1/11) and have been joined by many other prisoners through out the USA for the bottom line of humane living conditions. http://prisonerhungerstrikesolidarity.wordpress.com/  The California prison authorities in order to dismiss this action use the terms as "gang related", "criminal elements".
We ask that you take the time and review the demands,and send a solidarity statement that can be sent inside to our friends and comrades, engaged in this Hunger Strike. (www.albq-jericho.org)
